RUN FOR YOUR LIVES....ITS A SNAKE

Seriously? a snake. *sigh*. Let me fill you in on some detail. I am married to a man who is DEATHLY afraid of snakes. and when I say Deathly, I mean seriously, will push his toddlers out of his way to get away from a snake. he says "every man for himself " when it comes to snakes. *snorts a giggle* Of course I am the girl that will pick up a snake and fling it on him- or so he says- there was a news story recently about a girl who picked up a snake to tease her boyfriend, and they BOTH got bit. D-man says this is TOTALLY us. I laugh at his fear of snakes. incessently- of course i am the girl who will run away screaming from a spider and who cowers at Thunderstorms- ahem... storms of the century.
So anyway back to the snake story, because thats the REAL reason we are here. D is scared of snakes. I have heard him tell me about dropping his phone, fishing rod everything in the river to run away from a snake, I have seen him move to the opposite bank to get away from a snake, and I have seen him swerve his vehicle to avoid even a dead snake in the road, that by the way even dead in the road with him in his big ol explorer will give him goosebumps and a wide eyed deer in the head lights look that will make you snort at him.

So 2 weekends ago we had to go to Elkins, which for those of you not familar with WV, its in BFE up the mountain 3 hrs from us- where the quarter H highway is only partially done so for me and my carsicky son its a miserable ass ride. its cold, its high in themountains, and again...... car sickness. D's grandmother passed away last year at the ripe age of 96- wonderful wonderful woman, btw. anyway it was the family estate sale so we go up to let the kids pick out their inheritance and to see what we wanted to purchase from the house.
We hit the Walmart in Elkins to get some stuff. I have Jadyn's hand and D has the boys- we are in front. pretty soon I hear patrick yell. "NAAAAKKKKEEEEE" and I turn around to see Darold grab the boys and literally RUN through the parking long. *teeeeheeeeeeeee* turns out he had almost stepped on a snake, he had stepped over it not realizeing it was there and patrick pointed it out. I have never seen him run so fast in all my life. at this point I had to cross my legs to not pee myself from laughing. I said it can NOT be a snake. so J and i dutifully go check it out,,,,,,,, and as it squirms - well hell yes its a snake and J goes running. I giggle the entire way through walmart!
we come out and the snake has been run over, D goes all the way AROUND the snake, even though its injured, it can't move. its only attempting to move the top half of its body since its almost severed. Patrick and Jadyn want to go see it, its only a black snake for heaven's sake. so i take them over, patrick is talking to the snake telling him he is sorry he got hit, and jadyn is asking me to take it back to the farm so we can nurse it. at which point d grabs everyone and says that is QUITE ENOUGH we are leaving NOW.
*sigh*

where fore art thou?

I know I know for all you ummmm 3 people... yeah 3 maybe thats being optimistic. so for anyone who watches my blogs...besides me. I know its been a few weeks,,,,, I got out of the blog attitude and just couldn't bring myself to blog.
Oh sure, I had tons of ideas, tons of funny things and stories, and several family trips to blog about, make fun of, post pictures, a d-man to make fun. all of which were nicely written and I promise were HYSTERICAL. they were all just blogged into my head. and never made it here. I am back and will be back to blogging more often though.

oh and for anyone else that cares...midterm grades came out this week. Chrissi is Rockin it out with a B average!
Well I am off I hvae had 2 sick kiddos this week and now I am sick and just need to go home from work in a few hrs and go blissfully to bed.
